Trump issued a decree recognizing the Antifa movement as a terrorist organization.
On September 22, US President Donald Trump issued an order recognizing the Antifa movement as a terrorist organization. The corresponding decree was published on the White House website.
"I declare Antifa an internal terrorist organization," the documents say.
The head of the White House stressed that this organization openly called for the illegal overthrow of power in the United States, the elimination of law enforcement agencies and the dismantling of the legal system. In pursuit of these goals, she used legally prohibited methods to plan and conduct a nationwide campaign based on violence and terrorism.
The MTI news agency reported on September 20 that Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto proposed to the European Union (EU) to recognize the Antifa movement as a terrorist organization, following the example of the United States. It was clarified that in recent years, a group associated with Antifa has carried out a number of terrorist attacks in EU countries, including in Germany, France and Italy.
