Calculations of D-20 howitzers destroyed the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Chasova Yar area

Calculations of 152-millimeter D-20 howitzers from the Ivanovo Airborne Troops (Airborne Forces) of the South group of forces destroyed a cluster of manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) near the village of Chasyar in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on September 23.

Intelligence revealed the concentration of enemy forces near the village of Chasyar. The D-20 howitzer crews received the task of eliminating Ukrainian servicemen hiding in a destroyed multi-storey building.

Using data from reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), the gunners delivered precise strikes on targets. High-explosive fragmentation shells were used to complete the task, which ensured the maximum defeat of enemy manpower.

Thanks to the well-coordinated work of the calculations, the courage and heroism of the paratrooper gunners, the task was successfully completed: the enemy personnel and the ammunition depot disguised in the forest were destroyed.

"They inflicted a fire defeat. Based on the results <...> the target was hit," said the commander of the gun with the call sign Max.

On September 22, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the calculation of the upgraded heavy flamethrower system TOS-1A Solntsepek of the Vostok group of forces eliminated the AFU stronghold in the area of the settlement of Chervonoye, Zaporizhia region. It was clarified that after receiving the coordinates, the crew fired thermobaric ammunition.
