Putin granted Russian citizenship to Ongen, a football player from Cameroon
Russian President Vladimir Putin has granted Russian citizenship to Cameroonian soccer player Gabriela Ongen, who plays for FC CSKA. The decree was published on September 22 on the portal of regulatory legal acts.
36-year—old Ongen has been playing for the CSKA women's team since 2017 and became the champion of Russia twice and the winner of the National Cup three times.
By today's decree, the President of the Russian Federation also granted citizenship to seven more foreigners.
On the same day, former assistant to former US President Joe Biden, American Tara Reid received Russian citizenship.
