Boeing has started production of a new F-47 fighter aircraft for the Air Force USA — the first flight of this vessel is scheduled for 2028. This was reported on September 22 by The War Zone (TMZ), citing Air Force Chief of Staff General David Alvin.

"Boeing has begun production of the first sixth-generation stealth fighter, the F-47, for the U.S. Air Force..."Boeing has been selected as the winner of the manned fighter component competition as part of the broader Air Force Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) initiative," the publication says.

According to Alvin, the system under development will allow the United States to "dominate in the future," so the development team is "ready to act quickly." At the same time, as noted, all designs of this fighter are kept strictly secret, and previously released footage may not fully reflect the true appearance of the F-47.

On the same day, Bloomberg learned about the US military's request for almost $1 billion for the production of Lockheed Martin's secret AIM-260 missile, which had been under development for eight years. These projectiles are placed on the F-22 and F-35 fighter jets, and can also potentially be integrated into the F-15 and F-16.
