The statement by Moldovan President Maia Sandu about the alleged possibility of the Russian Federation using the country to attack the Odessa region is paranoia. This was announced to Izvestia on September 22 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

Earlier, Sandu said that the victory of pro-Russian forces in the upcoming parliamentary elections in Moldova could allegedly pave the way for an "invasion of the Odessa region."

"Paranoia," Zakharova said.
