About 2 tons of counterfeit alcohol seized in Simferopol

In Simferopol, police officers seized almost 2 tons of counterfeit alcohol. An operational and preventive event "Public place" was held in the city.

Over 140 police officers participated in the raids. They identified 228 administrative offenses and 19 crimes. According to the SevastopolMedia news agency, counterfeit drinks such as wine, cognac, and champagne were seized from illegal traffic. In addition, more than 3.2 thousand units of unlicensed nicotine-containing products were found in four specialty stores.

The police also found 18 grams of herbal drugs. Counterfeit clothing with logos of well-known brands was seized in one of the outlets.

Last week, 12.5 tons of counterfeit vodka from popular brands were found in the Trans-Baikal Territory.
