900 new security cameras installed in Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District

Another 900 new video surveillance cameras have been installed in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District since the beginning of 2025. The devices were connected to a single system, the press service of the regional Department of security reported on Monday, September 22.

Salekhard and Noyabrsk became the leaders. There are 279 and 209 new cameras in these cities, respectively. Labytnangi closes the top three, where 96 new video surveillance devices have been connected.

This year, the authorities have paid maximum attention to safety on playgrounds and sports grounds, in squares and parks, as well as on the streets. For this purpose, more than 450 cameras have been installed throughout the region. Over 60 more devices appeared as part of the My Yard project in Labytnagy and Muravlenko.

According to the <url> news agency, the district's video surveillance system is expanding by connecting cameras installed in cafes, hotels and shops. 169 such cameras have been added to it this year. Currently, more than 300 cameras of legal entities transmit information to the system.
