The smart aerial bombs that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) used to attack targets in Russia are available in small numbers and have a short flight range. Military expert Alexey Zhivov told about this on Monday, September 22.

"The Americans have such correctable bombs that, after being dropped from an airplane, can turn 180 degrees, even circle over the target. I suspect that we are talking about American bombs, which are planned to be adjusted, but their use has already been repeatedly recorded back in 2022, and they did not bring any result and they stopped being used, as far as I know," Zhivov said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .

He added that French guided bombs are yielding results, and they are periodically used, but they have a short range, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces have a very small number of them.

"This is not some kind of know-how. Russia also has correctable aerial bombs of various types," concluded Zhivov.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that air defense systems had shot down almost 340 Ukrainian drones in a day, RT reports. In addition, seven guided aerial bombs and two HIMARS multiple rocket launchers manufactured in the United States were shot down, according to the website. kp.ru .
