There is nothing in the work of singer and poet Mikhail Vorobyov, known by his stage name Mikhail Krug, that could undermine public morality. This was announced on September 22 by actor Nikita Vysotsky in an interview with Izvestia.

"I don't see anything dangerous for public morality or for children's ears in what Krug was doing...> If someone wants people to speak beautifully, they need to teach Russian literature and foreign literature better in schools, and show good films," Vysotsky said.

In his opinion, it is strange to ban creativity — a part of a person's life. He added that there are works in which profanity is organic and it would be boring without ambiguous works. Besides, it's hard to imagine how to ban songs technically, the artist noted.

"I knew him a little, he was a bright, good guy. <...> His songs are being sung and will be sung," the actor concluded.

Earlier in the day, State Duma deputy Olga Germanova denied reports of her call to ban Mikhail Krug's songs. The MP stressed that there is no question of banning or popularizing the singer's work.
