American leader Donald Trump is likely to agree to Russian President Vladimir Putin's proposal to maintain restrictions on the Strategic Offensive Arms Treaty (START Treaty). This was announced on September 22 by Vasily Kashin, Director of the Center for Comprehensive European and International Studies at the Higher School of Economics.

"I would assume that the reaction would be rather positive on the part of Trump, because he talked about the need for restrictions, even reductions in nuclear weapons. The fact that Russia has taken the first step in this direction is valuable," Kashin said in an interview with TASS.
