The cost of Russians for car maintenance per year is calculated
On average, car repair services cost Russians 29 thousand rubles a year. Young people aged 18-24 usually spend more — about 35 thousand rubles, which is about 20% higher than the average. They are more likely to give away more than 50 thousand rubles annually (21% versus 13% on average). Avito experts told Izvestia about this on September 23 based on the results of a survey of 10,000 Russians.
The majority of drivers (75%) service their cars at least once a year, regardless of its condition. The remaining 25% turn to a car repair shop or repair their cars themselves only in case of a breakdown. But on average, Russians use the services of car repair shops six times a year. It is noteworthy that young people aged 18-24 do this almost twice as often and, on average, service their car almost every month — 11 times a year.
The majority of car owners prefer to have their cars serviced at independent car service stations (39%). One in five (21%) contacts authorized dealerships. And only 3% do everything on their own. They mostly turn to car service stations for scheduled maintenance or a change of consumables (44%). So, during their visit, 53%, as a rule, update the oil and filters, 45% change and balance the tires, and 43% give the car for diagnostics and, if necessary, carry out minor repairs.
At the same time, one in four (25%) more often comes to the craftsmen with a breakdown. These are mostly young people aged 18-24 (30%). The suspension, shock absorbers or steering are most often repaired (31%). 17% — braking system, 16% — electrical equipment, 13% — air conditioning and heating system. Also, 12% repair the engine.
When a car breaks down, Russians mostly immediately turn to a car repair shop (40%), but 25% first consult with friends or acquaintances who have experience repairing cars. Young people aged 18-24 are more likely to do this (30%). First, 20% try to figure out the cause of the breakdown on their own. Another 14% primarily turn to the Internet for help — 12% of them look for answers to their questions in a search engine, and 2% use neural networks, the latter method is mainly resorted to by young people aged 18-24 (6%).
Earlier, on September 19, the Russian Union of Motor Insurers (RSA) announced the entry into force of a new edition of the spare parts cost guides, on the basis of which CTP compensation is calculated. Compared to the previous edition, the cost of spare parts remained almost unchanged (an increase of 0.2%). At the same time, as noted in the RSA, fluctuations in prices for spare parts for cars of different brands vary markedly.
