The Moscow court extended the measure of restraint to the blogger Sidoropulo

The Savelovsky District Court of Moscow extended the measure of restraint to blogger Andrey Sidoropulo, who sold educational courses. This was reported on September 22 by a correspondent of Izvestia.

It is specified that the blogger will remain in custody until March 12.

Sidoropulo is charged under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code ("Fraud on an especially large scale") and paragraph "b" of Part 4 of Article 174.1 of the Criminal Code ("Money laundering").

In January 2023, Sidoropulo was put on the wanted list. Later, on August 20, 2024, law enforcement agencies in Moscow detained the blogger. According to the investigation, the blogger and his accomplices from an organized criminal group (OCG) posted paid courses on "traffic arbitration" on the Internet. The trained clients were guaranteed easy and fast earnings.

At the same time, in fact, the attackers did not teach the students anything, but only appropriated payment for the courses. About 40 people suffered from the actions of scammers, who paid from 48.8 thousand to 389.9 thousand rubles for educational services, which totaled more than 8.3 million rubles.
