15 out of 100 startups in Russia that produce technological solutions in the field of healthcare do so using AI technologies. Such data, after studying more than 4,000 projects from 32 different industry areas, are presented in the DGCompass study.

T1 analysts believe that management decision support systems in the healthcare sector will become increasingly in demand. The study showed that AI is one of the drivers of healthcare development today. 15% of startups use artificial intelligence in their products: as an example, an AI medical decision support system for pathomorphology (the system analyzes digitized tissue images to identify pathologies that a doctor may not notice) or an AI blood test for latent atrial fibrillation (the system determines the risk of asymptomatic arrhythmia based on biochemical blood markers).

In addition, analysts expect an increase in demand for VCS services due to an increase in the number of projects implemented in the field of mental health support. The T1 study showed that the niche of psychological support companies is the most popular among startups. Moreover, 9% of these startups are also engaged in the production of systems for online consultations.
