The Russian brand Tenet was among the top ten car market leaders for the first time
For the first time, the Russian Tenet car brand entered the top 10 of the domestic market in terms of new car sales. This was reported on September 22 by the analytical agency Autostat.
Thus, according to the results of the 38th week of this year (from September 15 to September 21), 689 new Tenet cars were sold in Russia, which allowed it to take the tenth place.
Lada (5,993 units) is still the leader in the brand rating, followed by Haval (3,533 units), Geely (2,136 units), Belgee (1,793 units) and Chery (1,650 units). Changan ranks sixth (1,142 units), followed by Toyota, which is not officially represented in Russia (780 units) and Omoda (719 units).
A total of 26.7 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia last week. This is 6% more than a week earlier, but 27% lower than the level of the same period last year, analysts estimate.
Tenet brand models, which were created specifically for the Russian market, were put on the assembly line at the AGR Holding plant (formerly Volkswagen) in the Kaluga Region in August this year.
On September 8, it was reported that the all-wheel drive seven-seat crossover Tenet T8 began to arrive to Russian dealers. The start of accepting orders for the Tenet T8 was announced on September 2, the crossover is offered in two trim levels priced from 3.54 million and 3.79 million rubles.
