The People's Front told about the use of Hortensia drones for strikes against the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Hortensia drones equipped with a hand grenade launcher are used by Russian troops for remote attacks on units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported on September 22 in the Popular Front.

As noted by the technical director of the Hortensia project with the call sign Mex, a hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher can be mounted on the UAV. During the operation, the drone fires a shot, the empty tube is reset, and the device returns to recharge. This method does not require any additional modifications and allows you to perform the task in a standard way.

In addition, Hydrangea drones with optical fiber are also supplied. This version has an advantage over its analogues due to the ability to switch between optical fiber and radio channel without delay.

"Optical fiber is not a trend, it is a necessity. Firstly, to hide the positions of our fighters, because in this case there is no radio signal emission. Secondly, because the enemy has a lot of electronic warfare equipment on the front, and fiber-optic allows them to bypass it. And we combined it with a radio signal to further enhance survivability," Mex told TASS.
