Forecaster ruled out snowfall in Moscow by the end of September
The probability of snowfall in Moscow and the Moscow region at the end of the working week is very low. Anatoly Tsygankov, Deputy head of the situation center at the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, told Izvestia on September 22.
The weather forecaster noted that the air temperature will go down starting on September 23. It will be warm in the morning — the air will warm up to +16 degrees, but in the evening the temperature will drop to +10 degrees, the passage of a cold front will affect, he said.
"Starting on the 24th, we will be in this cold air mass, so the weather will be cloudy with some clarifications. The wind will be from the north and night temperatures will be +2, +4 in the region, up to zero, and during the day — +10, +12, sometimes up to +8 in the region," Tsygankov said.
The forecaster ruled out a temporary snow cover, but he admitted that "a couple of snowflakes" could fall outside the city at zero temperatures. In addition, according to Tsygankov, after October 10, warmth may return to the capital and the region.
"Of course, it's not like it is now, but, in principle, Indian summer can still return," he added.
