The Russian Embassy has not received any appeals from the affected Russian citizens due to the protests in Peru. This was reported to Izvestia by the Russian diplomatic mission in Lima.

"There have been no complaints from the injured Russian citizens, the Russian foreign office has not been damaged, and the authorities, judging by the available information, are taking measures to ensure public order," the diplomats said.

Earlier, on September 21, in Lima, the capital of Peru, representatives of the younger generation staged mass riots during anti-government protests. The rallies are held under the slogan "Generation Z against President Dina Boluarte." The participants oppose the reform of the pension system, and also demand more transparent work of the government and parliament of the country. They also support animal rights and environmental initiatives.
