The State Duma proposed to reduce salaries of school principals and chief doctors. Such an appeal to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin was sent on September 22 by the leader of the Fair Russia — For Truth party, the head of the Duma faction, Sergei Mironov.

"It seems necessary to consider establishing a special rule for medical and educational organizations at all levels of jurisdiction: the salary of the head should not exceed the average salary for the relevant institution by more than 100%," RIA Novosti quoted the letter as saying.

According to Mironov, 100% of the salary of employees is a good managerial bonus to recognize the increased responsibility of people in these professions. At the same time, a further increase in the remuneration of the head should depend on an increase in the average earnings of the rest of the team.

The MP added that due to this financial difference, there is an acute shortage of personnel in the field of education and healthcare.
