Less than a third of Russians supported flu vaccination
Many Russian enterprises carry out flu vaccination, but only 29% of the country's population believe that vaccination should be done. This is reported in a study of the SuperJob online platform, which I reviewed on September 22. "Газета.Ru ".
"Only 29% of the economically active population of Russia believe that the flu vaccine should be given annually. 46% of respondents hold the opposite point of view, another 25% find it difficult to answer," the study records.
It is clarified that men are slightly more likely to support vaccination than women (31 and 29%, respectively). Young people under 35 years of age (32%) are most often in favor of flu vaccination.
"Among respondents with incomes of up to 50 thousand rubles per month, 30% approve of vaccination, while among those earning over 100 thousand - only 25%," the results of the study added.
Among Russian companies, only 37% of respondents consider vaccination to be an effective measure of flu prevention. Approximately the same percentage of companies refuse to use any protection measures against seasonal diseases.
Earlier, on September 12, Lyudmila Lapa, an allergist and immunologist, told how to distinguish acute respiratory viral infections from autumn allergies. She stressed that allergies and seasonal acute respiratory viral infections have different natures: the first is a reaction of the immune system to external stimuli such as mold or flowers, and the second is associated with infections and viruses.
