In Vladivostok, the distribution of a large batch of heroin, which was transported by two men, was stopped. This was announced on September 22 by the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Primorsky Territory.

"In Vladivostok, on Kotelnikov Street <...>, a black car was stopped to check its documents. The driver of the vehicle and the passenger began to get noticeably nervous, which aroused the suspicions of the police. <...> It turned out that two men aged 21 and 20 had the intention to distribute prohibited substances," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.

It is noted that the police found 183 packages with narcotic substance.

The suspects are currently in custody. A criminal case was opened on this fact under Part 3 of Article 30 ("Attempted crime") and Part 4 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Illegal production, sale or transfer of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues, as well as illegal sale or transfer of plants containing narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances, or their parts containing narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances committed on an especially large scale").

As of today, the investigation of the case is ongoing.

Earlier, on September 8, the Russian Interior Ministry in the Irkutsk region announced the arrest of a 49-year-old man suspected of drug trafficking. The police allegedly found heroin in the attacker's vehicle, and also seized about 70 thousand rubles and three cell phones. In addition, during a search at the suspect's place of residence, packing scales and about 35 grams of the same powdery substance that he had buried in the ground were also found.
