Rubio called Kirk wise and brave at the memorial service.
On September 21, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke at a memorial event in memory of political activist Charlie Kirk, calling him a wise and brave man.
"He was constantly expanding his horizons. But he had more than just knowledge. He had wisdom. <...> He was also brave," Rubio said.
The politician added that the late Kirk sought to engage in dialogue with opponents and try to discuss different points of view openly.
"One of the most urgent needs of our country today is the ability to discuss differences openly, honestly, peacefully and respectfully. And Charlie Kirk did it better than anyone in America today," Rubio emphasized.
