Macron predicted "complete chaos" in the confiscation of Russian assets

The confiscation of frozen assets of the Russian Federation may result in the beginning of complete chaos, since this procedure is impossible without violating international law. This was announced on September 21 by French President Emmanuel Macron.

"As for the frozen assets, we are all very interested in complying with international rules. And you cannot withdraw these assets from the Central Bank [of Russia] even in such a situation. I think it's a matter of trust, and it's very important that our countries comply with international law," he said in an interview with CBS News.
