Temporary snow cover will form in places in the north-east of the European territory of Russia, the Polar Urals and the west of Yugra by next Saturday, September 27. As Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, noted on September 21, there is a possibility that wet snow will fall in the Moscow region.

According to him, by the weekend, by the end of next week, the forecast will be at a crossroads, and therefore it is possible that the weather will develop according to an unfavorable scenario.

"Temporary snow cover will form in places in the north-east of the European territory of Russia — Komi, the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, the Polar Urals and the west of Yugra, where minimum temperature columns will go into the minus at night with the formation of a thin crust of ice on the roads," Tishkovets wrote in his Telegram channel.

For the Moscow region, the forecaster predicted heavy rains by the end of the week, which may be mixed with sleet.

"Whether Muscovites will witness the mosaic and fleeting fall of the white flies over the weekend with their unconditional instantaneous melting to the ground is a rhetorical question, but hypothetically such a probability exists: 30% in favor, 70% against. The situation will be clarified in detail by the end of the working week," Tishkovets added.

Prior to that, on September 18, the Hydrometeorological Center reported that the "orange" level of weather danger due to low water levels would be in effect in the Moscow Region from September 19 to 22. The dangerous phenomenon began on September 19 at 8:00 a.m. on the Oka River near the city of Serpukhov, Moscow region, and will persist until 3 p.m. on September 22.
