Sports cars and legendary Soviet classics met at the Sirius race track
On September 21, a festival was held at the Sirius autodrome, where more than a hundred cars were exhibited: from Soviet classics to modern sports cars.
More than a hundred cars with different characters were presented at the exhibition. Some of the cars looked like new ones that had just rolled off the assembly line, while others had traces of participation in competitions, noted Yaroslav Bogat, a correspondent for Izvestia.
"Don't pay attention to the broken lights and cracked bumpers, this is the result of the races, and I love the car," said participant Dmitry Vyatkin.
Visitors were able not only to admire the sports cars, but also to drive along the circuit. According to Anton Devyakovich, the pilot of the Russian endurance circuit racing and classic rally series, this is the only track where you can train and set up equipment before the championships in winter.
After admiring the Ferrari and Lamborghini cars, the audience still went to the copies of the Soviet automobile industry. So, the 40-year-old vase, restored by Andrik Grigoryan, looked like new.
"It's both a style and a hobby. We grew up with these cars, and gradually the childhood dream turns into reality," he said.
Most of the cars at the festival have long since turned from vehicles into collectible exhibits: the owners are constantly improving them, bringing them to perfection and demonstrating individuality through every detail.
From February 7 to February 9, the motorhome "Igor Drive" hosted the rally raid - baha (off—road racing) "Russia — Northern Forest" on snow and ice. The event combined automobile and motorcycle sports on one platform. The race was held in two statuses — the first stage of the Russian Rally Championship and the All-Russian motorcycle rally competition. The format of the tournament has remained the same.
