Europe is doing everything possible to continue the conflict in Ukraine. This was announced on September 21 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"On the other hand, it's the Kiev regime, on the other hand, European states that are doing everything possible to further escalate tensions," he said in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin.

The Russian president's press secretary stressed that Europe is not only doing everything to continue the conflict, but is also trying in every possible way to encourage Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to do so.

Earlier, on September 18, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov pointed to European attempts to disrupt the approaches to a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict developed during the Russian-American summit in Alaska. According to him, Moscow has repeatedly reacted to attempts by European countries to build their own line on the conflict.
