Motorists in Udmurtia were offered a new route "To the Weekend Game"
Rosneft and the Ministry of Tourism of the Udmurt Republic presented a new auto route "Into the Weekend Game" from Izhevsk. According to the press service of the oil company, the presentation of the route took place at the Igrinsky Museum of Local Lore.
The length of the route is about 120 km. It starts at the 46-meter stele "Forever with Russia", erected in 1972 in honor of the 400th anniversary of friendship between the Russian and Udmurt peoples. From the site at the foot of the monument, there is a picturesque panorama of Izhevsk Pond with an area of 24 square kilometers, which is the largest man—made urban reservoir in Europe.
The next stop of the auto route is the Udmurtia State Zoo, which is home to more than 200 species of animals, birds, reptiles and insects, many of which are listed in the Red Book. The polar bears Shine and Baloo, which are under the care of Rosneft, live in spacious enclosures with pools at the zoo.
Then the route leads to the north of the region. In the ancient village of Chutyr, motorists can taste the famous local dumplings, a traditional dish of Udmurt cuisine. The next destination is the Udmurt Cultural Center in the village of Sundur. Here you can get acquainted with the hero of Udmurt folklore Lopsho Pedun.
Car travelers can also visit the village of Bachkeevo. In the 19th century, the Siberian Highway passed through it, which was followed by famous travelers and merchants. The Decembrists and famous writers Alexander Radishchev, Alexander Herzen and Fyodor Dostoevsky traveled along the same road to Siberia. The museum "Staging Point" is located here, where you can see the preserved interior details of that time. After the museum, tourists will find a "Tea house on the Siberian Highway." Here, travelers will be taught to understand the aromatic herbs that are brewed as tea in Udmurtia.
At the next point of the route, at the Igrinsky Museum of Local Lore, you will be offered to immerse yourself in antiquity with the help of technologies of the XXI century. At the interactive exhibition, you can hear old songs and watch films about traditional dances and everyday life of the Udmurts. The museum's current exhibitions tell about the nature of Udmurtia, ethnography, culture, and industry. The museum has more than 3 thousand exhibits in its collections.
Also, motorists will be able to visit the ethno-park "Egra", where the atmosphere of Udmurt myths awaits them.
The route ends at the Museum of Disappeared Villages. For him, the villagers of Sep themselves collected exhibits telling about the life of the Udmurts.
