- The United States noted Intervision's contribution to advancing the agenda of a multipolar world
The international music competition "Intervision" as one of its ideas involves the promotion of the values of a multipolar world and traditions. This was reported on September 19 by the American newspaper The Christian Science Monitor (CSM).
"During the Cold War era, the motto of such events was "peace and friendship," whereas today's idea is rather based on common — and somewhat illiberal — values in a diverse world," the publication says.
The active participation of representatives of the countries of the Russian-friendly Global South in the competition is also noted.
The final of Intervision was held in Moscow at the Live Arena. Honored Artist of the Russian Federation SHAMAN (real name Yaroslav Dronov) participated from Russia with the musical composition "Straight to the Heart" by Maxim Fadeev. Alexander Ovechkin, a Russian hockey player and captain of the Washington Capitals NHL club, has been announced as the cultural ambassador of Intervision 2025. The hosts of the final of the competition were performer Alexey Vorobyov and Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Aida Garifullina.
Later, SHAMAN asked the Intervision jury not to evaluate his performance. It also became known that the singer Vassy, representing the USA, will not be able to perform in the final of the competition.
Soon, all the performances were completed and the jury members began evaluating the contestants. The winner was Vietnamese singer Duc Phuc.
