The State Duma named professional areas with salary indexation in October

The State Duma reported that the indexation of salaries from October 1, 2025 by 7.6% will affect military personnel and employees of law enforcement agencies. This was announced on September 21 by Elena Tsunaeva, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs.

"The indexation of salaries by 7.6%, planned by the Russian government from October 1, 2025, is aimed at increasing salaries primarily of military personnel and employees of the security unit — employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Rosgvardiya, employees of institutions and bodies of the penal enforcement system, employees of enforcement agencies and others," the TASS news agency quoted her as saying.

It is noted that the indexation will also affect employees of federal services, but will not affect employees of municipal and regional services.

Besides, according to Tsunayeva, this is a planned decision.
