In Dagestan, in the city of Kumukh, as a result of heavy rains, an ancient fortress wall collapsed. This was announced on September 20 by the head of the administration of the Lak district of Dagestan, Yusup Magomedov.

"I share your pain and concern over the partial collapse of a section of the historic fortress wall in Kumukh caused by heavy rainfall. For all of us, this fortress is more than ancient stones," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

Magomedov stressed the importance and sacredness of the fortress and noted that all measures will be taken to restore the fortress.
