The Brazilian judge of Intervision emphasized the diversity of the artists' repertoire

The international song contest "Intervision-2025" features a diverse repertoire of compositions by performing artists. This was announced to Izvestia on September 20 by the Brazilian judge Kaka Machado.

"In general, it's a very diverse experience, because the songs that the participants of Latin American countries brought here to Intervision are radically different from the songs of participants from African countries, Asian countries and, of course, from Russia," he shared.

The Brazilian judge also noted that he had read a lot about the "Intervision" that took place in the 20th century. According to him, the very first competition was mainly related to the participation of countries that are part of the Soviet Union.

At the same time, he stressed that at the moment it is not particularly correct to talk about the geopolitical situation in the world.

"But I can say that this is a great idea, an alternative. This event, Intervision, which is taking place this year, is a good alternative for connecting cultures in general. Russia did a great job for creating this event," Mashadu added.

In addition, the judge shared that he already has his own candidate for victory, but could not reveal the name of the contestant. Mashadu clarified that during the evaluation he is going to pay attention to the originality and emotions of the artists.

"There are a lot of famous contemporary artists around the world right now, whose songs are sung and loved, but when you perform on stage, you can see in your eyes whether it comes from the heart or not, that's the emotion. The message is clear <...>. And, in fact, I will look at these aspects first of all when I watch the performances of 23 participants," he added.

Intervision-2025: who will perform in Moscow on September 20 and with which songs

More than 20 participants from different countries will take the stage.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on September 16 that Intervision could become an annual competition. He stressed that some countries have already shown interest in the competition and expressed their willingness to host it in the coming years.

The final of Intervision will be held in Moscow on September 20 at the Live Arena. SHAMAN will perform from the Russian Federation with Maxim Fadeev's musical composition "Straight to the Heart". Alexander Ovechkin, a Russian hockey player and captain of the Washington Capitals NHL club, has been announced as the cultural ambassador of Intervision 2025. The final of the competition will be hosted by performer Alexey Vorobyov and Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Aida Garifullina.
