As a result of heavy rains in Dagestan, 73 settlements were left without electricity. This was announced on September 20 in the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the region.
"There was an emergency power outage in 73 settlements in 10 municipal districts (Akhtyn, Sergokalinsky, Tsuntinsky, Dahadayevsky, Kulinsky, Magaramkentsky, Suleiman-Stalsky, Botlikhsky, Kizlyarsky districts and the city of Makhachkala)," the publication says on the website.
It is specified that Dagenergo operates in a special mode. 60 brigades, 60 pieces of equipment and 180 specialists are involved in eliminating the consequences of the accident.
Restoration work is currently underway. The power supply is expected to be restored by 22:00 Moscow time.
Earlier, on September 19, Krymenergo reported a power outage in Crimea due to bad weather. It was clarified that more than 20 thousand people were left without electricity. The shutdown affected residents of the settlements of Dzhankoysky, Simferopol and Leninsky districts, as well as two settlements in Yalta. The power supply has already been restored.
