The former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuteba, who left the country, returned to Kiev. The Times of Ukraine newspaper writes about this on September 19, citing sources.
"Dmitry Kuleba has returned to Ukraine: the former foreign minister is currently in Kiev," reads the article published on the Telegram channel of the publication.
No other details are provided. Kuleba himself has not yet commented on this information.
Kuleba, in an interview with the Corriere della Sera newspaper on September 8, stated that he was forced to leave the country because of a decree by President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, which prohibits former diplomats from leaving. He also clarified that he left a few hours before Zelensky's order came into force, and called the restrictions imposed a threat to his teaching abroad.
On the same day, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called Kuleba's statements "a conspiracy in a madhouse." She also quoted Kuleba as saying that "the old Soviet way of thinking reigns in Ukraine." According to the diplomat, such statements are indicative.
