Humennik leads the short program at the Olympic selection

Russian figure skater Pyotr Gumennik leads after the short program at the Olympic qualification tournament, which takes place in Beijing. He scored 93.80 points for his rental.

Mexican Donovan Carrillo is in second place with a score of 84.97 points, and Frenchman Francois Pitot is in third place with 81.24 points.

The Skate to Milano tournament is the only opportunity for Russian figure skaters to earn a quota for the 2026 Olympics. To receive an Olympic pass, Pyotr Gumennik must get into the top 5 according to the results of the short and free programs.

The ISU published the official list of participants in the qualifying tournament for figure skaters for the Winter Olympic Games on September 20. Among the Russian skaters, Adelia Petrosyan and Peter Gumennik were allowed to qualify for the qualifying tournament, with Alina Gorbacheva and Vladislav Dikidzhi as substitutes.
