In the United States, they want to receive a multibillion-dollar fee from investors on the TikTok sale deal. This was reported on September 19 by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

"The administration of [US President Donald] Trump will charge investors a multibillion—dollar commission as part of a complex deal to gain control of TikTok's operations in the United States," the publication said.

It is noted that investors involved in the TikTok deal will pay the government a commission of several billion dollars in exchange for negotiating an agreement with China. It depends on the final outcome of the deal.

Earlier in the day, Trump announced the launch of the TikTok deal with China. It is noted that the deal remains to be signed, but the American leader called it a "formality."

On the same day, China Central Television (CCTV) also reported on a telephone conversation between President of the People's Republic of China (PRC) Xi Jinping and Trump. During it, the Chinese leader noted that the United States should avoid unilateral trade restrictions. Speaking about the TikTok platform, the Chinese president noted that the Chinese government respects the wishes of enterprises that comply with Chinese laws and regulations, as well as balances interests.
