US President Donald Trump said that the United States had launched a new strike on a ship allegedly linked to terrorist activities and drug trafficking. He wrote about this on September 19 in his Truth Social network.

"On my orders, the Minister of Defense ordered a lethal kinetic strike on a ship associated with a recognized terrorist organization engaged in drug trafficking in the area of responsibility of the Southern Command of the US Navy. Intelligence confirmed that the ship was carrying illegal drugs and was passing through a well—known drug route," the report said.

It is noted that three people were killed as a result of the strike.
