American entrepreneur Elon Musk's Neuralink company plans to start testing technology in October that allows it to translate human thoughts into speech. This was announced on September 19 by the company's president, Dongjin Seo, at a conference at the Korea Institute of Advanced Science and Technology (KAIST) in Seoul, the Reuters news agency reported.

The aim of the project is to help people who have lost the ability to speak. The technology will allow "to switch directly from the brain to the voice without any keyboard in between," the CEO explained. "If you imagine that you are saying something, we will be able to catch it," he added.
