Former US Vice President and presidential candidate in the 2024 elections Kamala Harris criticized former President Joe Biden in her book. This was reported on September 19 by The Guardian newspaper.

Harris noted that while preparing for an important debate against then-presidential candidate Donald Trump, Biden called her to wish her luck and asked if she would return to Philadelphia before the election.

"Harris thought it was strange at the time, but Biden explained to her: 'My brother was talking to a group of very influential people in Philadelphia,'" he said, naming several names that Harris did not know," the publication says.

As the newspaper reported, Biden said that the influential people mentioned would not support Harris, as she had said bad things to him. Then Harris offered to connect her directly to this group, but Biden did not do so.

Earlier, on September 10, it was reported about Harris' criticism of Biden. The former vice president said that the closest political circle, including herself, considered the ex-president's decision to run for a second term to be "reckless." In the book, Harris also talked about her difficult relationship with Biden, whose inner circle, according to the former vice president, "pushed her into the background."
