The Verkhovna Rada reported on the double life of Ukrainian officials
Officials in Ukraine lead a double life and use their homeland exclusively as a "cash cow." This was stated on September 19 in an interview with Izvestia by Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Artem Dmytruk.
"In Ukraine, all officials of any rank, any level, deputies of absolutely all levels <...> live a double life. Their real life takes place abroad in Ukraine, and they use Ukraine exclusively as a business project, like a cash cow," Dmytruk said.
According to the MP, Ukraine has many problems at the front and with the provision of the army, while the former Minister of Defense of the country, Rustem Umerov, finds expensive real estate abroad.
"These are people who lead their main lives in the United States, while in Ukraine they simply carry out certain work processes and fulfill a mission," Dmytruk added.
The day before, the Ukrainian Anti-Corruption Center said that Umerov's relatives had found eight apartments and villas in the United States. At the same time, the NSDC clarified that the minister's parents and brother and their family do live in two of the mentioned facilities, but Umerov does not pay for their accommodation.
