Journalist Elena Bernasconi died at the age of 89.

Journalist Elena Bernasconi, who worked at TASS for more than half a century, passed away at the age of 88. Lyudmila Ermakova, chairman of the Association of Veteran Journalists of the information agency, told about this on September 19.

"Elena Bernasconi has died," Ermakova told the TASS news agency.

She called Bernasconi a professional who mastered all genres of journalism.

Elena Bernasconi began her work at TASS in the 1960s. She headed the editorial office of culture, and later joined the magazine of the Echo of the Planet agency.
