Russian Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Moiseev said on September 19 that the weakening of the dollar in 2025, along with the constant rise in gold prices, is due, among other things, to the rhetoric of the US authorities, the White House's relations with the leadership of the Federal Reserve System (FRS) and pressure.

"When we were all studying, there were unshakable truths that the central bank should be completely independent of the executive branch. Now this approach — in America, anyway — is being revised," he explained in an interview with RT.

According to Moiseev, such situations usually lead to a decrease in the exchange rate of the national currency and inflation.

"I don't know if it will be like this or not (and there are other points of view among economists now), but the basic axiom that we all live with is this," he stressed, summing up that "the dollar is simply losing its position as the only reserve currency."

As Moiseev pointed out, cash dollars are becoming less and less attractive as a savings tool for Russians, as there are constant difficulties with exchanging banknotes and changing their design. In his opinion, over the next 15 years, the American currency will become increasingly difficult to deposit in Russian exchangers, and it will be better to accumulate in gold and investment diamonds.
