Russian athletes will not participate in the team tournaments at the Winter Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina in 2026. This was announced on September 19 in an official statement by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

"Teams of athletes with a Russian or Belarusian passport will not be considered," the IOC said in a statement.
