The new edition of the spare parts cost guides, on the basis of which CTP compensation is calculated, began operating on September 19. This is stated in the message of the Russian Union of Motor Insurers (RSA), which was received by Izvestia. Compared to the previous edition, the cost of spare parts remained almost unchanged (an increase of 0.2%). At the same time, as noted in the RSA, fluctuations in prices for spare parts for cars of different brands vary markedly.

The most expensive car parts were Citroen (+6.2%) and Peugeot (+8.1%). Moderate growth was recorded for Kia (+3.1%) and Hyundai (+3.4%) brands. While spare parts for Nissan rose in price last quarter, prices have now dropped by 6.7%. In the case of Ford, the situation is reversed — a noticeable decrease in prices was replaced by an increase of 1.5%. At the same time, the average prices for spare parts for Chinese-made cars continue to decline steadily, with Omoda (-4.2%), Haval (-4.3%), and Geely (-11.3%) brands as examples.

Insurers have pointed out that the average prices for spare parts included in the directory are increasingly being formed precisely at the prices of non-original spare parts, which means that the supply of such parts on the market tends to increase. At the same time, non-original cheap spare parts of obviously low quality are not taken into account when creating reference books, the RSA emphasized.

Despite the stabilization of the average cost of spare parts, the total repair costs for CTP continue to grow. According to the results of the first seven months of 2025, the average payment for annual CTP policies reached 111.6 thousand rubles (+15.6% YoY). As explained by the head of the RSA Evgeny Ufimtsev, the design of cars and the volume of repair operations are becoming more complicated, and the reliability of automotive components is far from being at the proper level for all car brands.

Earlier, on September 16, it was reported that monitoring the availability of valid CTP policies through video cameras in Russia will begin in large cities, federal and major regional highways. According to the President of the RSA, Evgeny Ufimtsev, the authorities are currently improving the legislative framework in preparation for the inspections.
