New and Old lakes will be connected by a promenade in Kislovodsk

The improvement of a new lake has begun in Kislovodsk. It is planned that the territory next to the reservoir will be connected by a promenade with the Old Lake, the mayor of the city, Evgeny Moiseev, said in his Telegram channel.

"It is located in an amazing place: 60 hectares of water, 60 hectares of coastline. From here, along the Podkumok River, and then across the Alikonovka River, we will approach the Old Lake, and there to the Castle of Treachery and Love," explained the mayor, quoted by StavropolMedia news agency.

The money for the start of the design has already been allocated. According to the mayor, the documentation should be developed by mid-2026, and in 2027 work on the reconstruction of the dam and landscaping will begin.

As the official noted, the design of a walking route between the two lakes began in parallel. The territory is equipped with playgrounds and sports grounds, car camping and a green area.

Earlier it was reported that in Kislovodsk, they began to drain water from the Old Lake in order to eliminate vandalized landscaping elements. The work will be carried out as soon as possible and then the reservoir will be refilled.
