The University of Entrepreneurs, a program that unites science, business and talented students, has started operating in Moscow. This was announced by the Mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, noting that the project was launched by the Moscow government and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to the mayor, the task of the "University of Entrepreneurs" is to create innovative products designed to change the life of the city and the country. "More than 300 students have already started working in 20 workshops," Sobyanin wrote on his channel in the IACH. — Classes are held at eight leading universities in the capital: MIPT, Lomonosov Moscow State University, HSE, Sechenov University, NUST MISIS, Skoltech, MEPhI, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. The teams will focus on developing innovations in key areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, biomedicine, smart transportation and logistics, new materials and food technology.

As the Mayor of Moscow noted, the program is based on practical exercises. "Students will work on projects in workshops throughout the academic year, attend expert sessions, attend meetings with entrepreneurs and field internships at companies," Sobyanin added.

At the end of August, the mayor announced that a new service, Technohunter, would be launched on the capital's i.moscow platform. Starting from September 1, students, postgraduates and graduates of Moscow universities can use this service to get internships with resident companies of the Lomonosov cluster. "This is a great opportunity for the guys to gain real—world experience," and for the city to "attract young specialists to the innovative development of the capital," Sobyanin stressed.

Currently, the service contains requests from more than 20 enterprises. Among them is a software developer based on neural networks, as well as a company that creates new polymer materials.
