A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. During the week, the Russian army, using high-precision weapons and attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), carried out four group strikes against Ukraine's energy, fuel and transport infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the country's Armed Forces (AFU), arsenals, training centers for operators of unmanned systems, assembly, storage and launch sites for long-range drones, temporary deployment of Ukrainian armed formations, nationalists and foreign mercenaries.

Within a week, the Center group of troops liberated the village of Muravka in the DPR. In addition, units of the Vostok group of forces advanced into the depth of the enemy's defenses and took control of Novonikolaevka in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Olgovskoye and Novoivanovka in the Zaporizhia region.

"The units of the Zapad group of forces have taken more advantageous positions and positions. They defeated formations of a tank, four mechanized, an amphibious assault, two assault brigades, an air defense brigade and two National Guard brigades. The enemy lost more than 1,660 military personnel, two tanks, 14 armored combat vehicles, six of them Western—made, 165 vehicles and 10 field artillery guns," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

Over the past week, air defense systems have shot down four guided aerial bombs, four HIMARS multiple rocket launchers manufactured in the United States, and 1,667 aircraft-type drones.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost 667 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 85,035 UAVs, 628 anti-aircraft missile systems, 25,172 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,592 multiple rocket launchers, 29,721 field artillery and mortars, 42,182 pieces of special vehicles.
