The court extended the arrest of a resident of the Moscow region who paid her lover for the murder of her husband.

The Moscow Regional Court extended the arrest of Viorika Kondratyuk, a resident of the Moscow region, for three months, who ordered her husband's murder by her lover and paid for the crime with tickets from the bank of jokes. This was reported on September 19 by a correspondent of Izvestia.

The woman will remain in custody until December 23.

Kondratyuk's defense requested that the measure of restraint be changed to a more lenient one. The woman herself stated that she wanted to spend time with the child.

A resident of the village of Selyatino in the Naro-Fominsk district of the Moscow region was detained in March 2024. Kondratyuk convinced her lover to kill her husband in exchange for a reward of 2 million rubles. The man attacked Viorica's husband with an axe and a knife, took the money and left for a neighboring town. Shortly after his arrest, it became clear that the bills were counterfeit.
