The flu vaccination campaign has started in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. It is assumed that vaccination will cover at least 60% of the region's residents, the KrasnoyarskMedia news agency reported on Friday, September 19.
To date, 164.6 thousand people have already received the drug, or 6.1% of the total number of Krasnoyarsk residents. Mobile points are organized for working residents.
Funds from the regional budget will be allocated for the purchase of medicines. As the head of the regional government, Sergey Vereshchagin, explained, the authorities will be able to purchase only 1,366 doses with federal funds, designed for 48.8% of the population.
Earlier, Izvestia wrote that this fall, Russians are threatened by two strains of coronavirus: Stratus (XFG) and Nimbus (NB.1.8.1). Their main danger is post—covid syndrome: prolonged weakness, concentration problems, and cardiovascular complications.
