Trump announced plans to invite King Charles III to the United States
US President Donald Trump plans to invite King Charles III to the United States after a "fantastic" second state visit to the UK. This was reported on September 18 by The Telegraph newspaper.
"We are indescribably grateful for the impressive honor of yesterday's state visit to Windsor Castle, organized by His Majesty the King and Queen Camilla. These are two fantastic people. We will never forget this," Trump said.
During the visit, the US leader met with the British Prime Minister, inspected the guard of honor and watched the flight of the Red Arrows. In the evening, a state banquet was held, which brought together 160 guests from politics and business.
The White House is considering the possibility of the royal family's participation in the celebration of the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence next year, but there is no official plan for the visit yet.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that the United Kingdom and the United States had agreed on joint investments of $380 billion. The Office of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer noted the direction of the main package of investment commitments: it will help increase jobs, stimulate growth and create opportunities for working people across the country.
