In Kamchatka, the threat of a tsunami after an earthquake off the coast of the peninsula was removed. This was announced on September 19 by the Governor of the Kamchatka Territory, Vladimir Solodov, in the Telegram channel.

"The tsunami threat for Kamchatka has been lifted," he said.

An earthquake of magnitude 7.2 in Kamchatka was reported earlier in the day. The depth of the seismic event is 10 km. The earthquake occurred 145 km east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

Later, after the earthquake that occurred off the coast of Kamchatka, a tsunami threat was announced. It is noted that the operational services of the region have been put on high alert.
