The chief editor of the channel "Baza" Trifonov pleaded guilty

Gleb Trifonov, the editor-in-chief of the Baza channel, pleaded guilty to bribery. This was reported by a source of Izvestia in law enforcement agencies on Thursday, September 18.

Earlier on September 18, Moscow's Zamoskvoretsky Court released Trifonov from jail under house arrest until October 20.

The court chose the same measure of restraint for another person involved in the case, the producer of the publication, Tatiana Lukyanova.

Earlier, on July 22, Trifonov and Lukyanova were detained on suspicion of bribery. On July 23, the court chose a preventive measure for the journalists in the form of arrest until September 20.

At the same time, searches were conducted in the editorial office of Baza and the apartment of the editor-in-chief, as a result, law enforcement officers seized documents necessary for the investigation.
